Matted Coat Policy
Our priority is always your pet's comfort and safety.
If your pet's coat is severely matted, shaving may be the safest and most humane option. While every effort is made to groom carefully, removing severe matting may reveal pre-existing skin conditions, irritation, bruising, or sores.
By approving grooming services, owners acknowledge these risks.
Additional de-matting fees may apply when appropriate.
Flea Policy
If fleas are discovered during grooming, your pet will receive a flea treatment to help protect our facility and other pets.
Additional treatment charges will apply.
Aggressive or Anxious Pets
The safety of our staff and pets is our highest priority.
Mountain Paws reserves the right to discontinue grooming or boarding services if a pet becomes aggressive or excessively stressed. Owners are responsible for charges incurred up to that point
Emergency Veterinary Care
If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you first.
If immediate veterinary attention is required and you cannot be reached, Mountain Paws is authorized to obtain emergency veterinary care on your behalf. Owners are responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred.
Liability
While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure your pet's safety, boarding and grooming involve inherent risks. By using our services, owners acknowledge these risks and agree that Mountain Paws Pet Spa & Retreat LLC is not liable for illnesses, injuries, or conditions that may occur despite reasonable care.
Right to Refuse Service
Mountain Paws Pet Spa & Retreat reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for any pet that:
- Is aggressive or poses a safety risk.
